wewantyourscrapcar.com is the online home of Auto Solutions 2000, a scrap yard based in Nottingham in the East Midlands. We specialise in scrap car collection and vehicle scrapping with the minimum impact to the environment. We are a fully licensed scrap yard, recognised by the Department for the Environment, and we are on the Public Register of Authorised Treatment Facilities (ATF), legally committed to environmentally friendly car scrapping. We have state-of-the-art facilities allowing up to 80% of a car to be recycled, according to UK and European directives. We also provide car salvage services to the insurance industry and the private sector, stocking over 500 repairable damaged vehicles at our Nottingham scrap yard, and adhering to guidelines set by the Association of British Insurers. To combat car crime, we require ID to gain access to salvage sales

What happens when I scrap my car with you?

First use our quote finder to find out how much cash you could get for your scrap car or unwanted vehicle. Then contact us on 0800 917 1793 to arrange your free car removal. Our car removal service will collect your unwanted vehicle at a time and East Midlands location convenient to you, and take it to our Nottingham scrap yard, where we will dismantle it safely, legally and professionally. Using our state-of-the-art facilities, we will remove recyclable parts, and the remainder will be bailed.

How can I be sure my car has been scrapped?

Good question! When you scrap a car with us, we will give you an official DVLA Certificate of Destruction (CoD). This document proves that the vehicle has been destroyed and that you are no longer the registered owner. We will deal with the rest of the paperwork and give the DVLA notice of the vehicle scrapping - the DVLA will then update the records of the scrapped car. Unless you receive your Certificate of Destruction you remain the registered owner and responsible for the car. When we give you an official DVLA Certificate of Destruction you can be reassured that your scrap car has been scrapped and will not be fixed and resold - a practice which endangers lives - or used in criminal activities. As an Authorised Treatment Facility we value your integrity and safety as well as our own.
